Notre Dame extended another 2018 offer out today; this time to a talented defensive back. Golden Domer Daily takes a closer look at Taiyon Palmer.

Notre Dame Connection
Since the arrival of the new coaching staff last December Notre Dame has recruited well in Georgia, and Palmer is just another example. Originally a Duke commit, Palmer has aspirations to attend a high academic university that also excels on the gridiron. With two signees from Georgia in the class, Palmer should already have a good feel for the program and players. When academics are involved, Notre Dame is usually a top suitor.
How He Fits
We already know that Palmer is a fit academically, but he is also a fit on the field. He is rated as a four-star on two of the major recruiting websites and comes from a talent rich state. Check that off as another plus. Notre Dame would like to land another corner to the 2018 mix, and considering the mutual interest this offer made sense. The Irish coaching staff is still in the top group for Julius Irvin and Noah Boykin, and now Palmer can be added as well. Notre Dame wants as many options as possible leading up to National Signing Day.
