Notre Dame Connection

Ojomo is the second offer to a defensive lineman since day one of the early signing period, yesterday. Not sure if that’s telling about where the current roster is at for the DT position or if they just want another body. My thought is, probably A few guys won’t be with the program in the next few months, wether that’s because of other opportunities or transfers.

How He Fits

Anytime you have someone that is 6’3 275 on the defensive line, it always seems to help. More body’s and depth is one of the biggest “must haves” in the trenches and I think that’s what the staff is trying to do, add a good athletic tackle to build depth and strength. A lot of teams are starting to see good potential in Ojomo and clearly ND sees it too. He has a high motor and a solid get off, which is what you want to see at that postion. The Irish just signed DT Ja’mion Franklin and Jayson Ademilola, who are two very promising players, but obviously the staff wants one more.
