The Fighting Irish coaching staff extended a new offer out last night. Golden Domer Daily takes a closer look at Otito Ogbonnia.

Notre Dame Connection
The staff was busy in the state of Texas the last week, extending two new offers out. Ogbonnia’s recruitment took off in the month of December, and he suddenly has a good crop of schools to choose from. He could become the first and only Texas commit in the 2018 class as offensive tackle Frank Fillip signed with Colorado yesterday.
How He Fits
In Brian Kelly’s early signing day press conference he mentioned adding offensive linemen, wide receivers, and also best player available by National Signing Day. Ogbonnia doesn’t necessarily fit that mold, but the defensive line could take a hit if both Jonathan Bonner and Jerry Tillery are not back next year. That could mean one more spot is open for a guy like Ogbonnia.
