The Colorado commit received an offer from Notre Dame this weekend. Golden Domer Daily takes a closer look at Frank Fillip.

Notre Dame Connection
Notre Dame recruits the state of Texas at a high level considering the distance. However, he would be the first, and probably the only Texas commit in the 2018 class. It is possible he has a prior connection to ND freshman Brock Wright and Avery Davis, and while Notre Dame didn’t land him, former target and TCU commit Bryson Jackson, is also from the Houston area.
How He Fits
Five-star, Nicholas Petit-Frere, likely announces on National Signing Day, and Arkansas commit Luke Jones is not the Irish lock he seemed to be a few weeks ago. Fillip is a clear fit academically with offers from Harvard and Yale on his resume. The Irish coaching staff is looking for a true offensive tackle prospect, and Fillip offers those traits. He would also give Notre Dame a coveted third offensive linemen.
