Notre Dame Connection

Patterson has been on Notre Dame’s and former OL Coach, Harry Hiestand’s radar for a few months now, and finally received the coveted offer. He was set to make his college decision between UCLA and Michigan, but that changed this week when Notre Dame offered. If Patterson it makes to campus for an OV, the Irish will be right in the thick of it. He is expected to make his decision toward the end of January.

How He Fits

Notre Dame likes what they see in the California four-star product. Once an ASU commit, Patterson is looking for a high academic program, and Notre Dame fits that bill. With Harry Hiestand headed to Chicago, the next hire will be crucial to the remaining 2018 recruits along the offensive line. The Irish currently have two offensive line signees and one commit in Luke Jones. Landing at least one more offensive lineman and securing Jones’ signature is a major priority for Notre Dame.
